The feel of the case is great, and the shade of purple is a lovely, royal purple.I bought this for my Asus UL30 laptop and it's very snug, almost too snug (maybe this might be different for mac users? I don't know). I am hoping it will stretch out a little. As for the front flap, it looks very nice without the laptop in it but sits funny when the laptop is inside. Also, it doesn't actually clasp shut at all, I thought maybe there might be velcro or some other method.If this case molds into shape, I will really start to love it. I will try to post a photo later to show what I mean about the fit.Update: After a little bit using it, the case seems to have molded to the shape of my laptop and it's great. Several people have commented on great look and feel of it. The flap issue doesn't bother my like I thought it would and I would recommend this item.
