The device just works, at least for what I was using it for during the first two years. For me, that was to plug in my memory cards, or to connect USB devices. Occasionally, I used it to connect to an external monitor via HDMI.There was never an issue, until I began working from home much more often, and decided to plug in an external keyboard, along with an HDMI monitor. One of the USB devices is the dongle for my wireless keyboard. While both keyboard dongle and HDMI were plugged into the hub, half the time, I experienced dropped keypresses. At first, I thought my keyboard was faulty, but from reading forums, a few people reported a similar issue. Like them, I decided to see what would happen if I unplugged the HDMI, and voila... all my keypresses were back. Now, the fault of what I explained could also be from my Macbook Pro 15 2017, being unable to process both signals through a single USB-C, and I don't have more than two hubs to test with, so there could be reasonable doubt that it's the fault of the hub. But again, I also don't experience this issue with the other hub that I used at the office, so I can only make my conclusion that this hub is to be used for either keyboard, or for HDMI, but not both at the same time.I've since upgraded my monitor and use a separate port connected to a DPI adapter. I still use the Innomax hub for my keyboard and other USB devices/memory cards.I'm able to connect this to my tablet and transfer photos from the SD card slot to an attached External USB SSD drive with my tablet as the controller.1 limitation I found with this unit is that the included wall adapter for my s4 tab was unable to supply enough power through this device to keep my tablet charged. Once I updated to a higher powered wall unit [ B079P11LBV ], I was able to charge my tablet as well as power this device. I believe it has something to do with the power draw from this unit itself, which is expected for any mutiport device. If I had to make this product better..(a) The built in USBc cable would be a little longer. When I had it connected to my tablet, it hung at a angle and I fear after long usage, it might cause damage to the tablet's port(b) I would like to either see more updated technology (more usb 3.0's or UHS-ii) or just have a smaller device (eliminating the spots of the USB 2.0's)(c) the 4k HDMI is great, but also having a VGA would ensure greater compatibility with products without the need of additional adapters.**Full Disclosure: This is an updated review**When I originally bought this device, it was advertised as having 3 x usb 3.0 ports so I returned it shortly after running my initial tests. Innolife reached out to me and they made the corrections to the product's listing so the correct information would be displayed. I appreciate the fact that they took the time to reach out and engage with me via email. Sadly for me, I wanted something that had multiple USB 3.0's (min 2) and after careful thinking, having a VGA as well as a 4k HDMI option was important. This unit works great to connect my SD, Mini SD and Compact Flash card to my computer. The flexible connector allows the unit to connect to the computer in many formations making it convenient to use on the go. There is an LED light on the unit that confirms it is reading the card, which is very helpful. The only drawback I see is that the card slots are a little tight. When you insert your card you feel as though you may be inserting it in the wrong way at first. This is due to the tight opening of each card slot. I haven't noticed any damaged to the plastic cards, but was concerned at first that this may wear on the cards over time. It has loosened a bit since I first used it so I am hoping it continues so there are no issues. Great unit so far!I didn't realized when I bought it that it doesn't have any additional usb-c ports on it. Not a big deal but would be nice to be able to plug the power supply into it and have one plug "docking." It would be 5 stars if it had an additional usb-c port to pass power through.Very versatile and convenient. The only issue is that it drains my MBA 2018’s battery kind of quickly, but overall it’s a good product. I’ve had it for a year and a couple of months and it still works perfectly. The product is good and reliable. Few scenarios this doesn't support, so you cannot use this as a docking station.1. HDMI and Power don't work together - if you are trying use charger thru PD port, HDMI doesn't work.2. Using an additional DisplayLink adapter on any of the USB ports (including that on the laptop itself), HDMI on this adapter shuts down.We have been using this for a while, and this is a great travel hub for our laptops.Lost my old hub so bought it again. I’ve been using the Innomax hubs now for over year and its great. My Macbook only has USB Type-C ports so it makes it challenging when I need to plug in traditional USB devices on the fly (e.g. flash drives, mouse, etc.). In addition to 3 USB ports it also has HDMI and SD card reader ports as well. The HDMI comes in handy if I need to share my screen. Before this I’d have to keep multiple adapters which was a nuisance (and expensive). This all-in-one hub is essentially the same size as one Apple adapter so my bag is lighter. It looks just like my Macbook as well which is just another added benefit. Please make the cable longer in the future for added flexilibity.I don’t have any USB ports on my dell laptop so I purchased this product and it’s very useful. The multiple ports are a bonus but I would have given 5 stars if it was a bit smaller, other than that it works as described.Everything works but no power runs through it
