As the owner of a Macbook Pro, I know only too well of the perils of fraying cords on the power adapter. I take my laptop everywhere and in time, It always starts to split where the cable meets the plug. At $80 for a replacement, it can get expensive. I have used tape which doesn't sufficiently reinforce that spot where the cable and plug intersect, so that hasn't proven effective as a solution.A few weeks ago, I saw the beginnings of the inevitable split (Never understood why Apple would not address this obvious flaw). I went online to see if there was another alternative. When I saw the Tudia Klip Snap and the design of it, I knew it was exactly what was needed. With further research, I discovered that Tudia had customized the clip to fit the 60W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter which reassured me it would work. And it did.It is a brilliant design and terrifically great looking. While the Klip doesn't snap perfectly shut (there's a very narrow opening) which may be a result of the way the cable split from the plug and expanded, it is doing the job.I've had a couple of the Apple power supplies become weak where the cable connects to the main "brick" ... just past the built-in reinforcement. These little clip-on devices aim to extend the protection a little further, and I think they're doing well so far, but they don't quite fit as cleanly as in the illustrations, which may affect their functionality a bit.Look at the cables you have and notice that they are a little thicker (the aforementioned reinforcement by Apple) near the plug and "brick." This means that your Klip Snaps will not attach so that they are completely flush with either the "brick" or the plug. There will be a little gap unless you carve out a bit of the excess plastic on the insides of the Klips to account for the reinforced cable.I've had my Macbook pro for a few years now and even though I take excellent care of my things, the adapter power supply cable insulation is coming apart at the power block. The included clip on the cable saver doesn't hold the stress relief completely closed on my Apple 85W Mag Safe 2 power adapter, but it's holding pretty well and is offering a lot more stress relief than the original crappy Apple design. And it's cheaper than buying a new adapter for $79.Compatible with Mac's laptop charger, however not on the battery pack side (too small). I would buy if you are not going to twist around the cord anyways. The Mac charger cords are horrible for the later models that were not released this year. So you have to be extra careful because this protector will not be beneficially if you don't take care of your stuff. Great product for the person who is extra careful and doesn't twist and fold cords.... if you do than be prepared to buy another charger because this protector will not care for your device for you.I have a MacPro Pro 15" with retina display laptop. After reading all the bad reviews I really hesitated to buy this, but at the time I didn't want to spend another $79 to buy another power adapter so I bought it anyway! So far I am happy with the purchase, yes $8 is extremely expensive for a piece of plastic but it beats spending $79.First off the main goal of the clip is NOT to protect the charging cable, but to protect the area where the charging cable meets the charging plug. With that in mind, I think it does its job. Just look at my pictures!I use this only on the magsafe end. At the power unit end I use a different protector. I have fixed some very fine cable ties around the soft plastic part to keep things secure. It is a super protection and it works well. I have only one reservation - and that is that with the extra weight of the protector the magnetic adherence of the connector is reduced and it can become detached more easily. Nevertheless it is the best protector I have found. (It could be improved by having a small recess in the solid plastic part so that it slightly overlaps - and clips over - the aluminium of the connector. This would hold the protector more securely and prevent it twisting the cable). These seem to work well so far. I'm really hoping they will save having to replace the charger. Have already had to do so once. Ugh! However, I find that there is still some separation, especially on the brick side. This was easily remedied by using a couple of small zip ties. Came with two sets so I was able to do both mine and my daughter's chargers. Definitely worth it if it saves life on these expensive chargers. These snap ons are a life saver for macbook chargers. I use my laptop in bed very often, and will turn it on its side. This leads to the connections being frayed. When I went to put this on, the wire sheath had already been slightly bent, but I'm not sure that the little pink rubber bit would have closed entirely even if it hadn't. The only thing that would make this better would be some type of clip to keep the rubber closed around the wire.Bought these because I had had enough of all my chargers snapping and having to pay for new ones every 6 months. The colours are fun and spice up your charger and the protection they offer seems sturdy enough to prevent wear and tear without stretching them or bending them in any way. TBTW hese also work on a USB C macbook chargerBought this for my macbook pro 13inch bought in 2014, it brilliant holds the ends of the chargers rigid, but has flexibility too! I use it to protect the most delicate part of the charger and my charger is still on it’s legs 2 years later! Nice colours, easy to use and excellent value for what you’d pay in terms of replacing your charger! The holes on these are too small and they don't fit the MacBook PSU cable making them gappy. I wouldn't recommend them.Received today, seems an ok design however time will tell whether this will help. And as other have stated the actual product doesn't give the tight fit it has in the pic.It actually fouls against the macbook pro and prevents the magsafe connector from making contact. The fit is also a bit rubbish.
