I have an ongoing need for extended battery power operations when I am traveling internationally. These flights are no less then 11 hours and some can be up to 15 hours. My Apple 13” MacBook Air laptop computer has a great battery life. Usually about 8 hours (in the real world) but even that falls short of my needs. After extensive research, I selected this battery because they are the ONLY one who include the magsafe & magsafe2 connectors needed to plug into my computer. They offer the maximum amount of battery power without exceeding the TSA international limit of 100 Wh. This battery just makes it at 98 Wh. TESTING: I depleted my laptop battery down to 6% . Then I plugged in the BIXNET battery to see what it can really do on a full charge. The results were; it fully recharged my laptop internal battery in 2 hours and at the same time provided playing mp4 movies for 4 hours, all at the same time. NOTE: The battery charging instructions in the box were not accurate as to how this recharge function happens. On my battery and charger, the power brick always remains glowing with a red LED. Regardless of the charge in the battery. While the charge is being accepted, the 4 bars do build to show that the charge is growing. BUT IT IS IMPORTANT TO REALLY WATCH THE LITTLE BATTERY ICON FLASHING IN THE LED BATTERY WINDOW. After showing all 4 bars, the icon is STILL flashing. That indicates that the battery has NOT YET topped off. Let it remain charging until the battery icon STOPS flashing. Then you know your battery is FULLY CHARGED CONCLUSION: What more could you ask for extending the operation of a full laptop computer. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs the extended laptop life on battery power.Well done BIXPower.Update, Sept 15, 2016: Still working well. Though there may be units that are smaller and/or more powerful, this still gets the job done for me.Original review on October 7, 2014:Purchased after quite a bit of research and jumping back and forth in what I thought I was going to buy. Ultimately chose this because of the inclusion of the magsafe 2 (I didn't feel like buying another adapter and modifying it). As stated in the desc. it did come with both MS1 and MS2. Both adapters are good quality.Charging is fast and the battery casing has a good number of vents, so it stays pretty cool. The unit itself was lighter than I expected for the size. The additional weight in my backpack isn't noticeable.Charging:On a 2013 11" MBA - Charged ~20% from 80 to full in <25 minutes. I haven't used it to charge via the USB port yet. Will update when I do.Overall, happy with the purchase. Will update after using for a while. One of the few MacBook Air & Retina 13" portable batteries. It comes with both a MagSafe and Magsafe 2 adapter. You can buy an adapter from Apple for $10, and connect it to the MagSave cable contained in this product and you have two MagSafe 2 Adapters! It comes with a felt pouch which can fit the adapters and charger. The battery housing is plastic rather than aluminum, but it is only $149 versus $300 for a similar battery at Hypershop. It even has a USB port so that you can charge an iPad, iPhone, Micro USB, or other device that charges through USB.I have had a problem of running out of battery power specially during flight. The BixPower MAC arrived just in time before we left or a long flight to San Francisco. This external battery supply is perfect. It is easy to use. There are plenty of connectors for different computers. As advertised it supplied power for my MACbook pro during the 5 hour flight and even maintained the power of my MAC's internal battery. I'll never have to worry about running out of power in flight again! Highly recommended!!Not all airline seats have power outlets! This modestly priced external battery is small, lightweight, and lasts a long time. A good investment.Awesome ProductI bought this battery to power a Z1 CPAP machine while backpacking and it works great! Lasts 4-5 days plus I can charge my phone, GPS, watch, etc. One key feature (aside from the light weight) is a dedicated power switch; I’ve had other battery packs that auto turn off at the worse times, but this one won’t do that. It has a 4 bar charge indicator, is easy to use, and rugged. I’ve hiked over 300 miles with it in all kinds of weather (kept it in a Loksack protective bag) and never had a failure or any problem. It’s big (98Wh), lightweight for its size, and works every time.
