It is genuine leather; however, the quality is not worth the price. For the price I expected a much softer material inside. The first one I received had indentations and unsightly markings on the leather surface. Two deep indentations were the result of the packaging pressing against the leather sleeve while it also had a large, 3+ inch of rough cowhide scar. The replacement is much better and it also has a different packaging - one without the outer envelop whose closing string buttons that cause the indentations. The leather appearance is much smoother and relatively free from cowhide scars or markings. Overall, the sleeve is high quality product, well made, and with excellent fitment to the MacBook Pro 13.3" (mid 2019). Again, Amazon comes through with fast shipping and no hassle replacement. Compared to the Apple leather sleeve for the MacBook Pro ($177), this sleeve is actually better in different ways: thicker and sturdier with better drop protection; allows in-sleeve charging (while the Apple one does not). It may not have the aesthetic appeal in appearance and color choices as the Apple sleeve, but it is an exceptional value at 1/5 of the price. Highly recommended.Really good leather case. Made with good materials and feels durable. I use it for my M1 Macbook Pro 13”. The outside is real nice and looks good, the inside protects the macbook. The only issue I have with it is that it is an extremely tight fit for my macbook since I do have a plastic hard case on it. Because because of that it’s sometimes a struggle to get the laptop out of the case. Wish it had just a little bit more flexibility but I’ll deal with it just cuz it looks so good. This is thin and style to carry the laptop around. But I don't think it's durable, neither good protection, especially from the bottom.I put a roll of small bubble wrap to the bottom and feel more secure to my HP Zbook Firefly 15.6"Images In the listing accurately depict this item’s materials and workmanship; five stars on both.My uncertainty in ordering had to do with fit and protection. I wanted my 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro to be snug enough in the sleeve that there is zero chance of it accidentally slipping out, no matter what. In fact, the sleeve I received is plenty tight. You'd have to be strongly determined to shake the computer out. Ditto for the 15” MacBook Pro, contrary to another reviewer’s report. I tried both.An advantage of having no flap closure is that the empty sleeve lies flat and so serves as a nice desk pad for your laptop. Although it cost more than I planned to spend, I am more than satisfied with my purchase and I recommend it without reservation. It seems durable but we haven't had it very long.It fits snug enough you can barely keep a very small usb plug in and get it closed. It's best to use a bluetooth mouse and the built in bluetooth system.I wanted to love it, it felt great - soft leather and lined interior. But, it barely fit the Surface Book 3 and the zipper tab hung on the power and volume buttons. Ether the zipper would have ultimately broken or the power/volume buttons would have been damaged. If you love leather and have a different laptop you won't be sorry.I needed a slim sleeve to offer some bump and scratch protection for my 2019 MacBook Air while carrying in my tote bag or backpack and I'm glad I finally got this after looking at every conceivable sleeve on Amazon and eyeing this one for a while! I got the brown and it's really pretty! The leather binding is pink, which I love! It was hard to tell what color it was in the photos but yes it is and looks great with the brown. The case does a great job protecting the computer in the context I use it and doesn't add much room. What's more to say? Just buy it.Originally I thought it was good, but after a while the black colour rubs off on things, and stained my wooden table black- hard to remove too
